Water Plus Innovation Award Opportunity – 29th March 2019
Got an innovative idea that will help businesses or public sector sites be more efficient and use water more effectively in the future?
Water Plus want to hear from you! As the biggest water retailer in the UK, Water Plus work with businesses and organisations of all sizes, and are keen to promote innovation in the industry and help customers save money by using less natural resources in the future.
As such, they are offering the opportunity to win prizes for innovative ideas. The innovation could be something that directly involves water or wastewater or an innovation which results in a business or public sector using less water overall as a result of introducing an innovation.
The Prizes & Awards
There are three innovator awards, with a top prize of up to £5,000 and a runners-up prize pot of up to £2,500. There may also be opportunities for Marketing support and consultancy, which will be discussed with the winning entry/entries.
In addition to the prizes, the proposals which will have the greatest impact will be invited to the Water Plus Innovators’ Insight Day in May 2019, to pitch their idea or product. Each category (outline below) also has a Water Plus innovator Award.
Main categories for submission:
- Business site efficiency product supplier, for established businesses that have supported water/wastewater efficiency or looking to launch a new efficiency product for business sites, charities or public sector organisations.
- University and College innovator category – for universities and technology colleges and colleges, their researchers and specialists who are developing/have developed a new water efficiency/efficiency approach or product for business sites/buildings (please state which University/College you are working for/based at in your email and include contact information for a relevant senior person in the University/College department you are based in and a senior person at the University/College).
- Garage inventors, for individuals or micro-organisations.
