Scottish Investment Bank
The Scottish Investment Bank (SIB), operates across Scotland in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise

Launched in 2014 The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) was set up to bridge the gap between education and industry.
We are specialists in the industrial biotechnology (IB) sector, with a deep embedded knowledge and the technical expertise to help stimulate the growth and success of the IB industry in Scotland by connecting the dots between industry, academia and government. We represent all four colours of IB, facilitating collaborations and guiding organisations from a concept or idea, through to industry adoption.
SW Development Centres
The Scottish Water purpose-built Development Centres at Bo'ness and Gorthleck provides users with unique access to a waste water and water treatment asset enabling testing of pre-commercialised equipment on an operational scale.
Users can test new equipment, processes and technologies under live conditions in a safe and dedicated testing environment to enhance the marketability of their products.

Young Company Finance Scotland
Young Company Finance Scotland is a guide targeted at young companies that require external investment to achieve their objectives, often but not always exclusively to technology industries.
This guide focuses on the needs of entrepreneurs heading companies with high growth potential and aims to illustrate the range of financial options available describing their criteria, restrictions and advice on appropriate finance options for companies at their different stages of development.
YFC Scotland provides advice and guidance for companies in order to achieve their ultimate ambitions and act as a platform for companies in order to consider their own circumstances. This guide also advises companies on how the market currently operates. A strategy can then be developed for meeting the companies funding needs and engage with suitable sources of finance.
Scottish EDGE is a competition aimed at identifying and supporting Scotland’s up-and-coming, innovative, high-growth potential entrepreneurial talent.
Scottish EDGE is awarded as a 50% grant and a 50% loan. The loan is paid back to help fellow entrepreneurs on their pathway to success. Both the Young EDGE and Wild Card EDGE awards are grants of up to £10,000. In addition, Scottish EDGE provides mentoring, training and access to professional support.
