Fostering Water Innovation in Scotland

About Us

The Hydro Nation Water Innovation Service (HNWIS), established by the Scottish Government through Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, works with innovative Scottish companies, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and supports them along the innovation path to commercialisation.

It is a single access point which can help businesses receive specialist support as well as linking with existing research, development and testing networks in Scotland.

The service works with businesses, encouraging technology innovations, with the aim of supporting development of new products and services and identifying market opportunities, both in the UK and worldwide.

Working with our partners, the service provides support and opportunities to develop sustainable solutions for the global water and wastewater sector.
